Fees and Info
First Steps
Choosing a counsellor can be a challenge. I offer a free 20-minute introductory call. You get some sense of what I’m like. I’ll get a sense of what’s going on for you, and the kind of support you’re looking for. Whenever you’re ready, you can decide if you’d like to try a full-length session.
Fees
My fee is $150 + GST for all 50 minute sessions.
Fees are aligned with recommendations for Registered Clinical Counsellors in British Columbia. I offer a few sliding scale spaces. If cost is a barrier for you, please connect with me directly to discuss.
Payment
I accept payment by credit card, cash or e-transfer. I require a credit card on file to secure bookings but will not charge your card if you choose to pay using a different method. All information is stored in JaneApp which is secure, encrypted and confidential.
Cancellations and No-Shows
Please provide at least 24 hour notice for cancellations. Appointments that are cancelled less then 24 hours prior will be billed for the cost of the session. If you do not show up for your appointment, you will be billed for the cost of the session.
Crisis Support
Please note I am not available for crisis support. If you need to access support and care immediately, please reach out to any of the following excellent resources. Trained volunteers will be there to connect with you and offer help.

The Counselling Process
In our first session, we’ll review any questions you have about the counselling process and start to get to know each other. I know it can sometimes feel a bit nerve-wracking to show up to that first session! Then we’ll explore what your ‘pain points’ are, where you’re suffering or struggling, and what your goals are. We’ll also explore your resources and supports, the things that can help you to flourish. Each session may look a little different as we tune into what’s happening for you.
Number of sessions and how often we meet is up to you! It’s based on your comfort, resources and goals. If you’re not sure, I usually recommend that we start with regular sessions (e.g. every two weeks or so) for at least a few months to start. This helps us create the foundations for change to happen. You may find regular sessions are helpful for continued progress and processing, or you may find moving to less frequent check-ins meets your needs over time.
